Shelter Design Studio
About the Studio
Shelter Design Studio is a partnership of design professionals specializing in the design, rehabilitation and reconfiguration of existing residential and commercial buildings. Many of these buildings have historic significance or are valued within the community in which they reside. We work as a team combining the skills of client, builder, consultant, and designer to produce a valuable product that conserves our architectural heritage. These successful multifamily rehabilitations are helping to strengthen the community in Southwest Detroit while addressing the contemporary needs of our clients and their modern tenants.
We also focus our design efforts in the development of new or renovation of single family residences. The goal being a solution that responds to the needs of our clients while emphasizing our necessity for design quality. Throughout the development of the design solution our clients' budget interests are discussed. Every effort is made to solve a design problem within the budget without sacrificing design objectives.
Our commercial clients are also an important aspect of our design practice. Our expertise in building and space planning create commercial spaces that are desirious to the commercial tenant. Our design solutions strive to produce commercial spaces that are visually effective yet physically efficient. We have delivered successful solutions for our commercial office, retail, educational and health care clients.
Through hard work and the effective implementation of industry knowledge, Shelter Design Studio, LLC provides professional services that generate innovative solutions for challenging project typologies.
